From the moment I read the very first sentence of Blood Destiny, I was beyond hooked and this book was literally impossible to put down (I seriously read it less than 24 hours). My expectations for vampire novels are probably unfairly high and most can’t compete with my favorites but I’m so excited to say that this book soared above and is absolutely brilliant!
Tessa Dawn is a phenomenal writer. Her storyline is unique, exclusive and the great, descriptive detail of the vampires history was truly fascinating. This book was suspenseful, exciting, horrifying, dark, full of passion with a dash of humor combined. The Silivasi brothers are some hella sexy vamps! Can’t wait for the next book! ~ JAC
I saw an advertisement for this book on Facebook so I thought I’d give it a shot. From the moment I cracked the cover, I was spellbound. The way Ms. Dawn paints the picture of this story and ESPECIALLY the characters, you’d think you were actually watching it all play out before your eyes. In Blood Destiny, the only complaint I have is Jocelyn’s career wasn’t developed enough by the writer, but it was well made up for by the rest of the story. Beware, there are intense sexual scenes bordering on rape so if that is something that is particularly sensitive to you, tread lightly through this book before delving in fully.
When Jocelyn witnesses a macabre murder unlike anything she’s ever seen even as a seasoned officer of Homeland Security, her entire life changes in that very instant. When she is able to escape from her hiding place, she runs into a man who is just as mysterious as he is handsome. So far, typical romance novel stuff…until the moon changes blood red and the stars realign to reveal the mysterious stranger’s sign in the heavens declaring he’d found his “destiny”. The events that take place to try and keep them apart as well as his desire to keep them together are absolutely riveting. I get very bored very easily so asking me to sit through the slow parts of a book to get to the “good” parts is like asking a toddler to do algebra. Thankfully, there were absolutely NO slow parts in this book. It was one whip-lash inducing twist after another. I actually lost sleep over this book and when I did sleep, I only dreamt of the characters and their plights. If you are looking for a good paranormal romance, this one will leave you with your jaw on the floor, your breath held in your lungs and your head spinning. You will not regret picking this book up. The story line of the Celestial Gods is simply amazing, it’s a new twist on vampire lore which I’ve never read before. I love all the “light” brothers, each one having unique qualities. It’s refreshing to read about vampires that are simply driven by emotions and let me tell you they don’t hold back. I was drawn into every scene; I could see the forest and the mountains, the atmospheric changes brought on by their anger – nice touch! Tessa Dawn did a fantastic job with bringing every scene alive especially the fight scenes. The tension and suspense she builds is fantastic. Not only that but as a reader you’ll feel every emotion, love, fright, horror, passion, shock and humor.
I have to agree with one of the reviews, I felt that there should have been more of an elaboration of the fear Jocelyn felt when Napolean came to fulfill the curse. I knew how she felt because I understood her character but I wish there was a bit more to the scene. I do disagree, however, that Jocelyn being a homeland security agent, made poor decisions. I believe that Jocelyn showed a lot of courage and the horror scene she witnessed in the opening of the book would change anyone. ~ Christina

Those sons who walk the path of light must find and claim their Blood Destiny. Those that walk the path of dark do not have the redemption that at blood mate would offer.
The story is written with well developed characters that add flavor and excitement to the story. A well developed history brings the story to life.
I really enjoyed this book. The concept was amazing and the characters were believable and likable. The book had a little of everything, horror, paranormal creatures and romance. Can’t wait for the next book! ~ ToniWI
